D1Verse was a four-member boy group under RBW Vietnam and Naver. Originally as five, they debuted on February 27, 2020 with the digital single "Pantheon : Volcano".
The group officially disbanded on March 5, 2022.[1]
History[]
2018-2019: Pre-debut and 'We Will Debut'[]
Towards the end of 2018, the seven pre-debut members were sent to train at RBW's headquarters in Seoul.[2]
On July 30, 2019, it was announced that RBW and Naver would be debuting a Vietnamese boy group under the name D1Verse. It was also revealed that the members had begun filming for the upcoming reality show "We Will Debut".[2]
The first episode of the show aired on September 17, 2019.[3] It was revealed during the show that only five of the seven pre-debut members would be debuting, and those five members would be decided by fan voting as well as judges' evaluations.[citation needed] The final episode aired on October 31, 2019, where the five debuting members were revealed to be Minh Hoàng, Đức Ứng, Hồng Phú, Trần Bình, and Quang Huy.[4]
On December 15, 2019, they released their pre-debut digital single, "Chỉ Có Anh Bên Em"
2020: Debut with PANTHEON : VOLCANO, departure of Trần Bình[]
On February 18, the first teaser for their debut single was released along with a debut schedule.[5][6] A day later, three group teaser images were released.[7] The group officially made their debut on February 27, 2020 with the digital single "PANTHEON : VOLCANO".
On March 24, their official fandom name was revealed to be 'D1amond'.[8]
On April 8, RBW Vietnam announced that they had terminated their contract with Trần Bình and that he had left the group as a result of him spreading mis-information about other RBW artists.[9]
On April 27, auditions were opened to find a rapper to replace Trần Bình.[10] On June 3, a second audition was opened, this time looking for vocalists, rappers, dancers, and composers.[11]
2022: Official disbandment[]
On March 5, Quang Huy released a statement on his Facebook page, announcing that the group had officially disbanded.[1]
